and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent,

Our rich farmlands, our wetlands and our desirable location next to the lakes are a unique feature of Chatham Kent.

Current provincial guidelines for the setbacks of wind turbines, which is the distance between the Wind Turbines and our homes, are not right for Chatham Kent.

We need:

• a setback of 5000 meters ( 5 kilometers ) from our shorelines, schools and rural communities
• a setback of 1200 meters from existing rural homes ( exceptions are landowners with turbines on their own properties )

We need the right setbacks, which are right for our community, for today and for our children’s tomorrow.
